Mackenzie is a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) in Iowa, holding both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Social Work from the University of Iowa. With years of experience in diverse settings—including residential and outpatient mental health treatment, community outreach for individuals experiencing homelessness, and supporting veterans at the VA—Mackenzie has developed a deep understanding of the unique challenges people face. Mackenzie offers individual therapy for adults, helping them improve quality of life, relationships, and emotional well-being. She takes a highly personalized approach, tailoring her therapeutic techniques to meet each client’s unique needs and goals. With a focus on creating a compassionate, safe, and non-judgmental space, Mackenzie works with clients to navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, relationship issues, communication struggles, and life transitions. Drawing from evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), she collaborates with clients to set meaningful goals, build coping strategies, and promote lasting change.
