Introduction

Dr. Maddison Paul is a licensed clinical psychologist providing therapy and psychological assessment in the South Bay, including Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach, and Hermosa Beach. Born and raised in Redondo Beach, she brings a deep, personal understanding of the local community and the unique academic, social, and emotional pressures faced by children, adolescents, and families in this area. Dr. Paul completed her doctoral training in clinical psychology and returned to the South Bay to further specialize in psychological and neuropsychological assessment under the mentorship of two highly regarded local psychologists. She provides comprehensive evaluations for ADHD, learning disabilities (including dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia), autism spectrum disorder, auditory processing difficulties, and executive functioning challenges, as well as emotional and behavioral concerns. She is known for delivering clear, thoughtful, and highly individualized reports that help families understand not just what is going on, but why—and what to do next. In her therapy work, Dr. Paul integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment-based therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Her approach is both depth-oriented and practical—helping clients understand the underlying patterns driving their thoughts and behaviors while also building effective tools for change. She works with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, and life transitions, with a particular focus on individuals who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or misunderstood.
