Hey there and thanks for being here! It takes courage to ask for help. Life can present challenges that feel difficult to overcome. Sometimes, strong feelings present themselves that seemingly have no origin. Other times, unprocessed experiences and emotions can lead to negative impacts on daily life. When this happens, it can be daunting to navigate alone, but you do not have to. Therapy is a wonderful resource for receiving additional support in various areas of life. As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor I aim to have a supportive relationship with my clients whereby both trust and empathy are at the forefront of our work together. I take an approach of building a trusting and safe environment by developing a relationship based on empathic listening and positive regard while focusing on each individual’s unique life experiences, goals and strengths. This safe space can foster the capacity and ability to process thoughts and emotions which ultimately allows for healing and growth. Throughout my career I have worked in a variety of mental health clinics, including intensive outpatient settings, allowing me the opportunity to develop extensive knowledge of skills-based interventions. In my work with clients, I provide psychoeducation on various coping skills and resources that empower individuals to manage and tolerate distress outside of the therapeutic space in their daily lives. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, suicidality, self-harm, grief, body image, life transitions and relational issues. I work with individuals ages 13+ and particularly enjoy working with young adults. I am passionate about my work with clients and welcome the opportunity to work with individuals with diverse backgrounds and identities.
