Our lives are consistently changing, often leaving us to adapt and cope along the way. This can include facing stressors, anxiety, depression, major life changes and even our day-to-day challenges. Counseling is a safe outlet that can provide you tools and coping skills that fit to your life and your experiences. I specialize in working with young adults, however, my skills are curated to working with teens and adult individuals, of any age, as well. I know first hand that seeking counseling can be a difficult decision. The healing process can contain highs and lows and I want to be there to support you through that process. Therapy is not a "one size-fits all" field and I recognize that for my therapeutic approaches as well. I use an integrative style to help tailor my approach to my clients experiences and their needs. At the core of my approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as well as Person-Centered Therapy (PCT). Making the client feel comfortable in the therapeutic space is one of my top priorities. Therapy should not feel rigid or resemble the stereotypical scene of laying down on a couch and staring at the ceiling. I incorporate humor and warmth into my sessions to build rapport and to make the sessions feel more inviting. My ultimate goal is to ensure that you feel heard, understood, and safe in the therapeutic space.
