I was born and raised in Sylva, NC. I earned my bachelors and masters from Western Carolina University. I have experience in community mental health, outpatient, integrated programs, and school based services. I’m a licensed therapist who works with children and teens ages 10–18. I provide a calm, safe, and respectful space where young people can feel supported, believed, and understood at their own pace. My approach is trauma-informed, meaning I recognize how life experiences—especially stressful or overwhelming ones—can affect emotions, behavior, and relationships. I focus on building trust, emotional safety, and a sense of control while helping kids and teens develop coping skills, resilience, and confidence. Therapy is always tailored to each child’s strengths, needs, and comfort level, with an emphasis on empowerment, healing, and growth. I believe every young person deserves to feel confident, heard, and capable of growing through life’s challenges and becoming the best version of themselves.
