My name is Madison and I have been providing therapy services for over 10 years in Ohio and Minnesota. I have experience working with individuals of all ages and walks of life in a variety of settings, including schools, physician's office/hospitals, and private practice. My approach typically includes methods from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Solutions-Focused Brief Therapy, and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT). However, I believe that every client is unique and has different needs, even if they are facing similar challenges. It is my job to figure out which approach works best for you. I received my Bachelor of Science in Social Work and my Master of Social Work degrees from the Ohio State University, where I also played Division 1 hockey. As an athlete, I learned that resiliency, determination, and collaboration are important skills not only in sports, but also in life. As a therapist, I see my clients as my teammate. We will work towards a common goal which we will set together. You have your strengths, and we will identify those and use them to our advantage. The fact that you are here shows me that you are ready to make a change. Seeking support is the first and most difficult step.
