Introduction

Helping You Find Understanding, Healing, and a Path Forward In-Person in Rockwall, Texas & Virtual Therapy Across Texas Life can become overwhelming in ways that are hard to explain. Maybe you're constantly feeling anxious, exhausted from trying to hold everything together, struggling in relationships, carrying the weight of past experiences, or wondering why the same patterns keep showing up. Maybe you're supporting a child who is struggling and you're looking for guidance on how to help. Wherever you are in your journey, you don't have to navigate it alone. Therapy is a place to slow down, feel understood, and begin making sense of what you're experiencing. My role is not to judge, tell you who to be, or simply give advice. It is to walk alongside you, help you understand yourself more deeply, develop practical tools, and create meaningful change that lasts beyond the therapy room. BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE My clinical experience spans a variety of settings, including outpatient behavioral health, crisis intervention, medical social work, and pediatric healthcare. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, behavioral challenges, family conflict, and severe mental health concerns. Most recently, I served as a Pediatric Cardiovascular and Heart Transplant Social Worker, providing emotional support, crisis intervention, and care coordination for children and families navigating some of life's most difficult moments. Prior to that, I worked as a Clinical Therapist, Crisis Clinician, Team Lead, and Clinical Therapist Manager, where I provided individual therapy, group therapy, crisis services, clinical guidance, and leadership while helping clients build healthier coping strategies and lasting emotional resilience. My experience across hospitals, behavioral health settings, addiction recovery programs, and family services has allowed me to work with people from many different backgrounds and life experiences. I believe every person deserves to feel heard, supported, and empowered, and I strive to create a therapeutic space where clients feel safe enough to grow while also being challenged toward meaningful change. My experience of walking with others through life challenges has given me the ability to connect and a deeper understanding that each person's struggles exist within the larger context of their experiences, relationships, and circumstances. WHY WORK WITH ME? Choosing a therapist is a personal decision and finding someone you feel comfortable with can make all the difference. Therapy is a place where you should feel safe being honest about what you are experiencing, knowing that you will be met with understanding, compassion, and support. I work with adults, children and teens (ages 5+), and families, supporting clients through a wide range of challenges and life experiences. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I believe therapy should be more than just talking about problems; it should help you gain insight, develop effective coping strategies, strengthen relationships, and create changes that carry into everyday life. ISSUES I WORK WITH Adults (18+) - Anxiety, panic, and chronic worry - Life transitions and adjustment challenges (parenthood, career changes, identity shifts, aging) - Trauma and abuse recovery, including childhood trauma, domestic violence, and complex trauma - Grief and loss - Relationship and marriage concerns, communication issues, conflict, separation, and divorce recovery - Parenting challenges, co-parenting stress, and family conflict - Stress, work-related stress, burnout, and work–life balance - Women’s health concerns, including perinatal mood changes and hormonal transitions - Body image concerns and navigating societal pressures - Emotional exhaustion, compassion fatigue, and balancing multiple roles - Conflict with adult parents, extended family, blended families, or caregiving dynamics - ADHD and executive functioning difficulties in adulthood, including late diagnosed - Self-esteem issues, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and boundary-setting - Substance use, addiction, and impulse control difficulties - OCD and related symptoms - Depression, emotional dysregulation, irritability & emotional overwhelm - Mood & Co-Occurring Disorders, Bipolar disorder, Mood instability - Family conflict & Family Issues Children (ages 5–17): - Adjustment disorders and coping with life transitions like starting school, parental separation, or moving homes - Anger management, frustration tolerance, and impulse control - Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) - Behavioral concerns and emotional regulation difficulties - Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder (DMDD) - Emotional and social development issues such as shyness, low self-esteem, and difficulty with boundaries - Grief, loss, and family transitions such as divorce, moves, blended families, and adoption - Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) - School-related challenges, including academic stress, learning disabilities, bullying, and social skills deficits - Sleep disturbances and somatic symptoms related to stress (headaches, stomach aches) - Trauma and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), including abuse recovery - Building resilience, coping skills, and confidence MY APPROACH I believe therapy should feel safe, grounding, and—when possible—hopeful. My job isn’t to fix you. It’s to walk beside you, help you make sense of your experience, and equip you with tools that really work in everyday life. I use a combination of evidence-based approaches tailored to your needs, including: - Trauma-Informed Therapy – understanding the impact of trauma on the body and mind - EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) – for processing trauma and past events - CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) – to shift unhelpful thought patterns - DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) – to support emotion regulation and mindfulness - CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy) – especially helpful for trauma recovery - Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) – supports emotional flexibility, values, and meaningful change - Play-Based Interventions – uses creativity, expression, and age-appropriate activities to support emotional understanding and coping skills WHAT TO EXPECT Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another, explore the challenges bringing you to therapy, and discuss what you would like to achieve, how you would like to grow, and the patterns you would like to change. As we continue working together, I’ll provide guidance, support, practical strategies, and encouragement while recognizing that healing is rarely a straight line. Life changes, challenges arise, and therapy should grow alongside you. My goal is for you to leave each session with more than insight. Together, we’ll build practical skills, develop healthier coping strategies, strengthen emotional resilience, and create meaningful changes that extend beyond the therapy room. TAKE THE FIRST STEP You don't have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, exhausted, or simply ready for something to change, you've already taken an important first step by considering support. Healing isn't about becoming someone different—it's about discovering the strength, resilience, and confidence that already exist within you. I would be honored to walk alongside you as you navigate life's challenges, celebrate your progress, and build the life you want to create. Wherever you are in your journey, we'll start there—together. (Insurance Accepted - Sliding Scale Available for Out-of-Network)
