Introduction

You may be the person others depend on; the one who works hard, gets things done, and seems to have it all together. But underneath, you feel exhausted, disconnected, anxious, or stuck in patterns you can't seem to change. Maybe you're struggling with an eating disorder, perfectionism, chronic self-criticism, depression, or a constant pressure to get everything "right." I help adolescents and adults who feel trapped by these patterns find a different way forward. As an art therapist with more than 20 years of experience, I specialize in eating disorders, perfectionism, chronic depression, anxiety, and emotional overcontrol. My approach combines Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO DBT), art therapy, and somatic awareness to help clients move beyond insight and create meaningful change. You don't need to be artistic to benefit from art therapy. In our sessions, we can talk, make art, or do both. Creative expression often helps uncover emotions, beliefs, and patterns that are difficult to reach through words alone. My work is HAES-aligned, anti-diet, and weight-inclusive. I strive to create a space where clients feel understood, challenged, and supported as they develop greater flexibility, self-compassion, and connection- with themselves and with others. I offer in-person therapy in Brooklyn and virtual sessions throughout New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Washington.
