Introduction

Malinda Eberly-Phillips, LISW-S, has a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Fordham University and is trained in EMDR. She has experience working with adults, teens, children, families, groups, and religious communities, particularly among the Amish and Mennonites. She has specialized in trauma and research. Her research work has centered on the cause and prevention of sexual abuse within insular religious communities. Other experiences have been with non-profit administration, mental health services in outpatient and inpatient settings, trauma-focused services for underserved inner city communities, community re-entry programs, and religious communities. Malinda is passionate about advancing research and evidence-based practice to raise awareness and lower stigma to transform how we engage with whole-person wellness using the biopsychosocial + spiritual model. Clients may request the opportunity to explore or utilize Christian values in their counseling process.
