Welcome! I'm Dr. Zenda, a Board-certified behavioral sleep medicine psychologist. I provide Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), the first-line, non-medication treatment for chronic insomnia. I work with adults who have difficulty falling asleep, experience prolonged awakenings during the night with difficulty returning to sleep, or wake feeling unrefreshed despite adequate time in bed. Over time, many begin to feel anxious or tense at bedtime, frustrated by lying awake, and worried about how poor sleep is affecting their mood, focus, and daily functioning. Many clients have tried medications, supplements, or general therapy for sleep without lasting relief. CBT-I is different. It targets the behaviors and thoughts that keep insomnia going. Treatment includes sleep schedule adjustments, strategies to reduce nighttime wakefulness, and tools to calm a racing mind so sleep can feel more natural and consistent. If you feel stuck in a cycle of insomnia, dreading nights and dragging through days, you’re not alone. Sleep problems are common and highly treatable with the right structured, evidence-based approach. Even if sleep has felt broken for a long time, meaningful change is possible. Call or email for a free 15-minute consultation at (415) 366-3742. I am accepting new clients as of April 2026. Online sessions are conducted via secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth for California residents. Individual one-on-one therapy Insurance: Out of Network; I do not accept insurance but I can provide a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement. Qualifications Postdoctoral Fellowship, Stanford Sleep Health and Insomnia Program Licensed by State of California / PSY34550 I am one of approximately 800 clinicians in the U.S. who are board certified in Behavioral Sleep Medicine, a specialty focused on evidence-based treatment for sleep disorders. I completed advanced postdoctoral training in the Sleep Health and Insomnia program at Stanford School of Medicine. Specialties and Expertise Sleep or Insomnia Circadian Rhythm Disorders For clients seeking CBT-I, we start with a 60-minute intake and feedback session where I provide sleep education and propose a treatment plan. I will also give you recommendations (or referrals, if CBT-I is not the best fit), so you will have an actionable plan for next steps even if we don't end up working together. Follow-up sessions are typically 50 mins weekly for approximately 4-8 weeks.
