Introduction

Many people hear the word “psychotherapy” and feel intimidated by it, or even joke that it means you have to be “psycho” or “crazy” to attend therapy. In reality, the word comes from the Greek roots psyche (mind, soul, or spirit) and therapeia (healing or treatment). Put simply, psychotherapy means “healing the mind.” Seeking therapy is not a sign that something is wrong with you. It is an opportunity to better understand yourself, strengthen your relationships, and support your emotional well-being. I often tell clients this quote, “Now that you know, knowing is half the battle.” I believe that insight creates opportunities for change. Together, we can build awareness, identify patterns, and develop practical strategies that empower you to move toward the life you want to create. Populations I work with are children ages 8+, couples, families, foster, and individuals navigating the impact of trauma, stress, relationship concerns, family dynamics, co-parenting challenges, and family reunification. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker - LMSW Clinically Supervised by Dr. Juan Gerardo-Galvan Rodriguez PhD, LCSW-S”
