Mariana Machaen is a bilingual, Spanish speaking therapist using a strength based approach. I support people and couples who experience depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, low self-esteem, and people who identify as neurodivergent and/or have Autism Spectrum Disorder. I strive to support people who yearn to rediscover for them what makes life worth it. I also strive to support people who want to rekindle a fire within them, especially for passions like music, art, sports, gardening, etc.. I also strive to provide a healing space where one can let go of impactful life experiences, such as trauma, that they carry with them. I strive to challenge norms and harmful expectations that plague one's self-worth. I invite nature, music, art, and your animal companions into our work. With compassion, I hope to empower you in building confidence in navigating life and rekindle self-love and admiration for yourself. I also practice decolonial healing therapy, challenging colonial western ideologies while inviting healing practices from people’s diverse communities. Coming into practicing therapy due to personal experience with mental health concerns, I acknowledge that recovery and growth can take time and experimentation. I also make sure to be someone that is humble, kind, and open to hearing your needs and disagreements. If you feel that what I shared resonates with you, I’m honored to take steps together.
