Introduction

Hello! My name is Maribel Diaz. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 18 years of clinical experience and 16 years as a School Social Worker. I work with children, individuals, couples, and families of all ages to reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, and trauma. I provide a holistic and personalized treatment experience by using evidence-based practices tailored to your needs, including Trauma-Informed CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I have extensive experience working with K-12 students, as well as adults navigating life transitions such as divorce, grief and loss, and traumatic experiences including domestic violence, infidelity, and sexual abuse — challenges that can make it difficult to focus, learn, cope, and enjoy life. My approach to goal-setting and treatment planning is to start where you want to start. Together, we will create a roadmap to identify root causes, triggers, and symptoms, and develop practical strategies to overcome them. I can help you reduce the duration, intensity, and frequency of symptoms that interfere with restful sleep, productivity, and healthy relationships with yourself and others. You will leave our sessions feeling empowered and ready to make meaningful shifts to improve your outlook and daily functioning. I have always advocated for people who did not have a voice or the ability to stand up for themselves. I became a school social worker and therapist to help children and adults find their voice, courage, and power to work through past traumas and challenges — and learn how to live a safe, healthy, and well-balanced life.
