Introduction

La Dra. Marieva Puig es graduada de la Universidad del Estado de Michigan, donde obtuvo su Doctorado en Psicología Clínica. Completó estudios en psicología industrial en la Universidad del Estado de Pennsylvania y realizó un año de postdoctorado en el University of Colorado Health Science Center y el Henry Kempe Center. Ha sido profesora en la Escuela de Medicina de Ponce, en el programa doctoral de psicología clínica, así como en la Universidad de Puerto Rico. Se ha desempeñado como perito experto en la corte federal, tanto en el ámbito de la psicología clínica como en el vocacional. Ha liderado investigaciones sobre salud mental en Jamaica y ha publicado artículos en revistas especializadas en psicología. Además, ha ofrecido adiestramiento clínico a estudiantes doctorales y ha brindado charlas a padres sobre temas relacionados con la adolescencia, el desarrollo del autoconcepto, el manejo de la ansiedad, la depresión y la administración del tiempo.
