Introduction

Perhaps life hasn’t gone the way you thought it would. The stress and troubles of everyday life have become heavy and burdensome. You are left wondering if this is all there is, and if it will ever get any better. I have been there. My own experience included a series of triumphs, tragedies, false starts, and societal marginalization. Trauma happened, relationships came and went, lofty promises were made, and dreams began to feel ever elusive. This Is my Invitation to You: Let's Explore, Process, and Integrate your journey, so that life can become more peaceful, balanced, and aligned. Many times we wait for circumstances to change before we allow ourselves to be content. Change happens from the inside out. Avoiding language of deficit and dysfunction, I emphasize areas of resiliency while working to identify client’s core skills & strengths. I view counseling as a collaborative process, in which I accompany clients through the process of connecting elements of their stories, clarifying their vision and values, and creating satisfying lives. My theoretical orientation draws on person-centered therapy, gestalt, and ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy). I believe that we start and end within wholeness, and that our time together is a process of self realization and self actualization; resulting in greater awareness, newfound resources, and a deeper connection to ourselves and others. I have worked with individuals, couples, children, adolescents, and teens; and I look forward to helping you reconnect with your passion, power and purpose. -Mark ***Evening and Weekend Appointments available.
