Introduction

The path into adulthood is harder than it used to be and harder than most people expect. High school ends, college begins, careers start. But confidence, direction, and momentum don’t always follow. Many capable young men find themselves stuck not because something is wrong with them, but because mental health challenges, substance use, or the absence of real structure quietly get in the way. What looks like procrastination or disengagement is often a major life transition happening without the right support. If that sounds familiar for you or your son you’re in the right place. Why Young Men Get Stuck Each stage of early adulthood brings its own pressures. In high school, identity and performance anxiety build while executive functioning is still developing. In college, structure disappears overnight and mental health or substance use can derail progress fast. In the early career years, comparison, burnout, and uncertainty make even capable young men quietly question whether they’re on the right path. The problem usually isn’t ability. It’s the absence of the right support at the right time. A Different Kind of Therapy This is launch-focused developmental treatment which is structured, practical, and goal-oriented. Together we identify what’s working, what’s interfering, and how to move forward consistently. As a Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CADC), I also bring specialized experience when substance use is part of the picture treating it as a developmental disruptor, not an identity. You leave each session knowing what you’re working toward and how progress will be measured. For Parents You want to help without pushing your son away. My role is to support his autonomy while restoring momentum giving you reassurance that he’s moving forward in school, career, and life. Let’s Talk The first step is a brief consultation call. We’ll discuss what’s happening, what’s been tried, and whether this approach is the right fit. You don’t have to navigate this alone. Momentum starts with a plan.
