My name is Marki Sulzbach and I received a master’s degree in clinical counseling from Wake Forest University in May of 2019. I also hold an undergraduate degree in psychology from Barclay College. My theoretical orientation is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy along with Person-Centered therapeutic techniques. I completed my practicum and both internships at Art It Out Therapy Center LLC in Marietta, GA where I utilized art therapy, CBT, and DBT techniques within my sessions. I am skilled in treating clients from ages 5-75 with a variety of conditions. Specifically, depression, anxiety, ADHD, major life transitions, chronic illness, and trauma. I am currently a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (15275) in the state of North Carolina and am a Board Certified Telemental Health Provider (BC-TMH), and a Certified Geek Therapist. As a certified Brainspotting clinician, I also find this method highly effective for a multitude of conditions and struggles. For over 16 years I worked professionally in the live theatre entertainment industry. My love and experience within the expressive arts can often be found within my practice, and I am experienced with integrating the passions of my clients from these realms within our sessions as well when appropriate. It is my belief that as individuals become more aware and accepting of themselves, the more capable they are of finding a sense of peace and contentment in their lives. It is my goal as your therapist to provide you with the skills and tools you may need in order to strengthen your resolve, uphold your dignity, and lead you toward a bright hope for your future.
