I received a master’s degree in clinical counseling from Wake Forest University in May of 2019. I also hold an undergraduate degree in psychology from Barclay College. My theoretical orientation is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy along with Person-Centered therapeutic techniques. I completed my practicum and both internships at Art It Out Therapy Center LLC in Marietta, GA where I utilized art therapy, CBT, and DBT techniques within my sessions. I am skilled in treating clients from ages 5-75 with a variety of conditions. Specifically, depression, anxiety, ADHD, late-diagnosed Autism, major life transitions, chronic illness, and trauma. I am currently a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (15275) in the state of North Carolina, a Telehealth Registered Professional Counselor in the state of South Carolina (2636), and am a Board Certified Telemental Health Provider (BC-TMH). As a certified Brainspotting clinician, I help my clients work through a multitude of conditions and struggles. One of my greatest joys is teaching future therapists as a Graduate Counseling Adjunct Faculty member for Wake Forest University’s Master’s in Counseling online program. Being a small part of impacting the future of our field is extremely meaningful to my purpose of being a counselor. For over 16 years, I worked professionally in the live theatre entertainment industry. This, along with a love of video games, anime, tabletop role-playing games, and attending comic conventions, led me to become a Certified Geek Therapist. Several clients have sought my services due to my understanding of these genres and a desire to connect and apply these passions on a therapeutic level. It is my belief that as individuals become more aware and accepting of themselves, the more capable they are of finding a sense of peace and contentment in their lives. It is my goal as your therapist to provide you with the skills and tools you may need in order to strengthen your resolve, uphold your dignity, and lead you toward a bright hope for your future.
