Marnie is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Minnesota and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Wisconsin. She is pursuing independent clinical licensure in Maine as of 2026. Her eclectic background draws from applied behavior analysis, individual and family counseling, medical social work, diagnostic assessments, and mental health. Marnie completed her Master of Social Work program in 2015 from St. Catherine University & the University of St. Thomas. Her clinical research project in her graduate studies focused on the barriers that families with children with autism experienced to service delivery. She carries a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from St. Cloud State University in 2010. She also completed post-collegiate work in Applied Behavior Analysis completing certification as a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) between 2012-2015 and became a Certified Financial Social Worker (CFSW) 2022-2025. Marnie has completed her Certified Autism Specialist (CAS) certification in March 2025. She earned the Academy of Certified Social Worker (ACSW) credential in July 2025. She has served many different demographics across her career but she has spent the last several years serving primarily East African children and families. She strives to provide ethical, reliable, coordinated, and compassionate services that are in compliance with current and evolving standards to all who seek her services. In May 2025, Marnie began her Doctor of Social Work (DSW) program with an emphasis in Advanced Clinical Practice at the University of New England (UNE) in Maine. Her doctoral research dissertation will focus on identifying the barriers East African families experience when accesing EIDBI services in MN. A work-life balance is important to Marnie. She balances her career with leisure by reading, listening to podcasts, being creative, traveling, and spending time with her cats, Chuckie and Pearl.
