My path to becoming a therapist began early, witnessing firsthand the profound effects of mental illness, addiction, and trauma. This personal experience fueled a deep desire to help others, leading me to dedicate my career and education to mental health. I earned my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, specializing in mental illness, addiction, and supporting children and families. My Ph.D. in Public Health further enriched my understanding of holistic well-being. In our sessions, I blend clinical expertise with a client-centered approach, ensuring your journey guides our work. Our first session will be a collaborative, no-pressure opportunity for us to get to know each other. I'll begin by inviting you to share your story at your own pace, focusing on what you are experiencing now and what you hope to achieve. We'll discuss your personal history, your strengths, and the challenges you're facing. I will ask questions to understand your unique experiences with trauma, anxiety, or other concerns. I will always remain nonjudgmental. Most importantly, we'll establish a safe space where you feel heard and understood. The goal of this first meeting is not to dive deep into every issue, but to lay a foundation of trust and to begin identifying a clear path forward for your healing journey. People deserve respect, independency, and to take steps forward with their dignity intact. My greatest strength as a therapist is my ability to connect with people on a genuine level. I believe a strong connection is the foundation of all healing. My passion is to help you feel empowered to take the lead in your own life and make meaningful changes. I'll work collaboratively with you, listening to your story and guiding you to a place where you can see your true strength and value. I firmly believe that everyone is created with a unique purpose, and my goal is to help you discover and embrace yours.
