Mary became a clinician because she believes everyone deserves a safe place to be human—especially people who spend their days working in high-demand, high-stress environments where they may feel pressure to keep it together no matter what is happening underneath the surface. Clients have described Mary as a “no-nonsense” therapist, and that fits. She is compassionate, but also direct. Mary wants therapy to be a place where clients can talk honestly about what’s happening, understand what’s keeping them stuck, and do meaningful work to move forward. Mary works primarily with adults experiencing trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, and substance use concerns. She especially enjoys trauma work and using EMDR to help clients process experiences that continue to affect how they feel, react, and move through their lives. Clients do not have to show up to therapy with the right words or have everything figured out. Mary provides a place where they can put some of it down and start working through it.
