I am a licensed psychologist with a Ph.D. in Clinical Developmental Psychology from Bryn Mawr College, an M.A. in Human Development from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.A. in Psychology from Franklin & Marshall College. I believe a strong therapeutic relationship can help you manage stress, regain your ability to find fulfillment in daily life, and strengthen your sense of self. I value humor, kindness, and warmth in creating an accepting and nonjudgmental environment for each client. I utilize an integrative approach to therapy, meaning that I draw from different orientations and tailor my approach to best fit clients' needs. However, my primary orientation is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), an approach that encourages an open, curious, and nonjudgmental view of our emotional experiences. This perspective allows us to relearn patterns of avoidance and suppression that can contribute to our distress. Importantly, we endeavor to do so with an understanding of how some of our behaviors may have once worked for us, which minimizes shame and reduces our tendency to pathologize our thoughts and feelings. Please note that I participate with PSYPACT and am therefore able to provide telehealth services to residents of most states and the District of Columbia. I am proudly LGBTQ+ affirming, racial justice allied, and sex and body positive.
