I have worked in the mental health field for over 25 years. I take a humanistic, client-centered approach to therapy with individuals. When someone shares their concerns and reasons for seeking support, I listen and collaborate to develop goals that resonate with them and align with their values. I use cognitive behavioral therapy to address negative, outdated beliefs about oneself, others, and the world that may be creating barriers to progress and growth. I also employ trauma-sensitive techniques, including EMDR, to help facilitate insights and breakthroughs. Additionally, I have expertise in art therapy and regularly use analogy and metaphor to spark new perspectives. Lastly, I have extensive experience in addiction treatment and have been actively involved in recovery communities throughout my career.
