Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. My name is Dr. Mason Anthony Weber, BSc., MSW, Ph.D., LSW. I am a Licensed Social Worker, healthcare leader, author, educator, and advocate dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion, dignity, and hope. My professional journey began with a passion for serving others and a deep belief that every person deserves to be heard, supported, and empowered throughout their healing process. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration, a Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Counseling and Psychological Studies from Regent University. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals facing mental health concerns, chronic medical conditions, life transitions, grief and loss, trauma, anxiety, depression, and barriers to accessing healthcare and community resources. My approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I believe that every individual possesses unique strengths and resilience, even during periods of significant hardship. My role is to provide a supportive and collaborative environment where clients can explore challenges, identify goals, and develop practical strategies for creating meaningful change. My work is also deeply informed by personal experience. In 2021, I was diagnosed with stage III cancer and an autoimmune disease. The years that followed included extensive medical treatment, hospitalizations, surgeries, and significant personal and professional challenges. Despite these obstacles, I completed my doctoral degree and continued serving others. These experiences have provided me with a unique understanding of resilience, grief, uncertainty, and the emotional impact of living with serious medical conditions. They have strengthened my commitment to helping others find hope, purpose, and healing during life’s most difficult moments. I have particular interest and experience in supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic illness, cancer-related distress, caregiver stress, adjustment difficulties, life transitions, and challenges related to identity, self-worth, and personal growth. I am also passionate about healthcare advocacy, helping individuals navigate complex systems of care, and empowering clients to become active participants in their own well-being. In addition to my clinical and advocacy work, I am the author of Healing in a Body That Keeps Fighting Me Through Trauma, a memoir exploring the realities of cancer, trauma, resilience, and healing. Through my writing and professional work, I strive to normalize conversations surrounding mental health, chronic illness, and the human capacity to persevere through adversity. My goal is not simply to help individuals overcome immediate challenges but to empower them to build resilience, strengthen coping skills, improve overall well-being, and create lasting positive change. I believe that healing is possible, growth is achievable, and every person deserves support, respect, and the opportunity to live a meaningful and fulfilling life. I look forward to the opportunity to support you on your journey toward wellness, growth, and healing.
