Introduction

I know firsthand how being vulnerable and sharing one’s story can be intimidating. My goal as a therapist is to connect with you and create a safe, nonjudgmental space to walk alongside you on your journey. I am a curious person who loves to learn and understand, and I find that grows as I work in this career. I have been practicing for over 5 years and have a passion and love for my job. Most importantly, I am human and do not strive to be perfect in practice, and I will encourage you to do the same in this space. I recognize that you are the expert in your own life, and I believe in the inherent ability of each individual to create change for themselves. I partner with the people I work with to empower them to identify goals, broaden strengths, learn new skills, and process and heal difficult experiences. In sessions, we will work together to find effective strategies to navigate the ups and downs of your life. I am a therapist who likes to dive into deeper issues to understand how they manifest as concerns in your life. I help people explore their narratives, values, and thought and behavior patterns that may have developed throughout life experiences. My approach is warm, fun, kind, down-to-earth while encouraging of perspective-taking, and catered to the individual. I will give podcast, movie, and book recommendations and probably mention my cat at some point - and I love hearing about your pets. I like to work as a team, and view counseling as a collaborative partnership between client and therapist and endeavor to understand each person’s unique social context, culture, and identity. Valuing warmth, humor, learning, and authenticity, I welcome you the opportunity to explore your story and support you in pursuing meaning and joy in your life.
