I’m Maureen Gides, MA, LPC, a Licensed Professional Counselor and founder of Light Within Wellness Counseling, LLC. For more than 20 years, I’ve helped adults and couples heal from trauma, addiction, depression, anxiety, and life transitions. My background includes roles as a dual-diagnosis therapist, clinical coordinator, and family therapist in both hospital and community settings. Today, I bring that depth of experience to private practice, offering a safe and collaborative space for lasting change. I draw from an Interpersonal Neurobiological framework, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing. My approach is warm and direct - blending evidence-based skills with genuine compassion.
