I founded Isaac Ministries in 1997 with a deep commitment and passion to serving at-risk youth, families, and communities facing trauma, domestic violence, and mental health challenges. As a counselor, I bring trauma-informed care, spiritual grounding, and practical support to individuals, couples, families, and groups navigating anxiety, depression, PTSD, abuse, and life transitions. My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, family systems work, and Black Womanist theory—honoring both clinical skill and cultural wisdom. I'm particularly passionate about advocating for domestic violence survivors and creating safe spaces where spirituality and healing intersect. Through my work at Sarah's House and beyond, I've learned that recovery happens when people feel truly seen and supported. I currently offer telehealth counseling and am accepting new clients, including elders. If you're ready to move toward wholeness and hope, I'm here to walk with you. Rev. Dr. Maxine founded ML Ministries in May 2022 fulfilling her goal of establishing a mental health practice that would service women whose lives were impacted by family and intimate partner violence. She provides biblically-based marital counseling to couples who desire to understand a faith-based perspective of marriage. She has traveled locally and internationally helping churches and other organizations understand the dynamics of violence and how they can help support their parishioners be safe and seek help.
