Healing is about more than reducing symptoms; it's about understanding yourself, reconnecting with your strengths, and creating a life that aligns with your values. My goal is to provide a space where you feel genuinely seen, understood, and supported without judgment. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, and the founder of Behind the Latest Minds, LLC. I specialize in helping adults navigate ADHD, anxiety, depression, complex trauma and PTSD, emotional dysregulation, chronic stress, burnout, grief, life transitions, relationship concerns, and problem gambling. I also work with individuals experiencing executive functioning challenges, low self-esteem, perfectionism, identity exploration, and co-occurring mental health concerns. My approach is integrative, meaning I tailor therapy to each individual rather than using a one-size-fits-all model. I draw from evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Behavioral Activation, Mindfulness-Based interventions, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Somatic and mind-body interventions, Expressive Arts Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Guided Imagery, and strengths-based, culturally responsive care. I believe healing occurs when we address the connection between the mind, body, emotions, environment, culture, and lived experiences. As an Integrative Clinical Therapist, I also help clients understand how nutrition, sleep, movement, stress, nervous system regulation, and lifestyle habits can influence mental health. When appropriate, we may incorporate mindfulness practices, breathing techniques, grounding exercises, movement, nature-based strategies, and other holistic approaches alongside traditional psychotherapy. I have extensive experience working in hospitals, schools, community mental health agencies, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), partial hospitalization programs (PHP), nonprofit organizations, and private practice. In addition to therapy, I serve as a Clinical Consultant and educator, training clinicians and organizations on trauma, ADHD, problem gambling, integrative mental health, cultural humility, and whole-person care. I am especially passionate about serving individuals from historically marginalized communities, including Black and African American communities, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and neurodivergent adults. My practice is affirming, culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and rooted in collaboration. I strive to create an environment where every aspect of your identity is respected and welcomed. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, emotionally exhausted, or simply ready for change, therapy can provide the support and tools needed to move forward. Together, we'll work toward building resilience, improving emotional well-being, strengthening relationships, and helping you create a life that feels meaningful and authentic.
