I’m an interactive therapist who sees the therapeutic relationship as a team effort. Think of me as your emotional sherpa. My true passion lies in helping clients who feel that they don’t belong, who feel stuck or lonely in their current relationships, or who are struggling to create meaningful change in their lives. I use my advanced training, life experience, and multiple therapeutic techniques to help clients let go of shame, understand who they are in the context of where they’ve been, cultivate more fulfilling relationships, and to live authentically. I am definitely not the therapist who sits in the chair silently nodding while you try to figure your own shit out. Good therapy helps because it gives you a structured, supportive space to unpack your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors with someone who 100% has your back (that’s me!). Whether it’s through evidenced based therapy techniques or solid deep-dive conversations, good therapy helps you spot the knots that are tripping you up on your way to the life you would love to live. Just having someone really listen to you without judgement can be life changing. Therapy isn’t magic, but it can certainly feel like it when you start to notice the real shifts in how you think, react, and show up unapologetically as yourself. I believe deeply in the sharing of the human condition; the paradox of longing and fulfillment, connection and solitude, joy and suffering. We build and destroy, love and grieve, and endlessly seek. At our best we are fearlessly ourselves, creating beauty from struggle and understanding how deeply we belong to each other. I believe that standing up for and with one another is an act of collective strength. No one should face injustice alone. When we defend each other’s dignity, we affirm our shared humanity and create a world we want to live in. Silence enables harm, but solidarity dismantles it. Also, I love dogs. And cats.
