Life is difficult and while having friends and family to talk to is great, sometimes that is not enough. The therapeutic relationship is one of healing and hope. Facilitating that relationship is very important to me because I understand the value of working with someone who is not pushing their, usually, well-intentioned agenda onto your situation. Someone outside our problems who has no investment in how we handle those problems can offer limitless perspective and an abundance of compassion. In addition to being a listening ear, therapists have so many resources and tools to help us as we navigate whatever challenges and changes life throws at us. This is the type of therapist I strive to be. Whether I am seeing individuals, couples, or families I am here to connect with you in a way that will empower you to live your life to the fullest. I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University. I am certified in Prepare and Enrich Premarital/Relational Counseling. I have four years of experience working in a treatment setting involving a multitude of mental health issues including: couple/relational/marital/non-traditional relationships & Family system related concerns, LGBTQIA stress, anxiety, depression, sexual concerns, kink/poly concerns, trauma, and religious trauma. I look forward to applying my experience and my education to my practice as a therapist.
