Dr. Roberts has clinical experience working across the lifespan, from children and adolescents to young adults and adults, with a particular emphasis on serving individuals, couples, and families from diverse and marginalized communities. Her therapeutic work has addressed a wide range of concerns, including depression, complex post-traumatic stress disorder, postpartum depression, grief, life transitions, and the emotional impact of chronic medical conditions such as idiopathic intracranial hypertension, type 1 diabetes, fibromyalgia, and lupus. She has also supported clients experiencing anxiety related to family dynamics, cultural trauma, academic stress, social communication challenges, eating concerns, and performance anxiety in athletic settings. Dr. Roberts brings additional experience and expertise in neurodiversity and neurodevelopmental differences through her previous work as an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapist. She has extensive experience working with autistic individuals and supporting children, adolescents, and families navigating differences in social communication, emotional regulation, behavior, and daily functioning. This background informs her neurodiversity-affirming approach and her understanding of the unique strengths, needs, and experiences of neurodivergent clients. Dr. Roberts utilizes a trauma-informed approach grounded in narrative therapy and draws upon culturally affirming interventions and art therapy to align care.
