Welcome! My name is Meaghan and I am a pre-licensed clinical social worker that works with children, teens, and young adults ages 8-24 that are navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD/executive functioning, self-esteem challenges, and stressful life transitions. I recognize that many young people experience pressure to meet high expectations while navigating their emotions, identities, relationships, and changing environments. My goal is to help clients develop confidence and strengthen coping skills. I believe therapy should be a place where you do not have it all figured out, and where progress matters more than perfection. I utilize a person-centered approach while incorporating cognitive behavioral therapy, systems theory, and internal family systems to meet each client where they are to support meaningful change. I believe therapy is a collaborative process and work with clients to develop insight, build skills, and create goals that feel relevant to their individual experiences. I find that the foundation of effective therapy is a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship where clients feel safe, understood, and accepted. While I provide guidance, education, and support, I believe clients are the experts in their own lived experiences. Sessions may incorporate creative, age-appropriate therapeutic techniques, games, and interactive activities to help clients feel comfortable while connecting therapeutic concepts to their everyday lives. I would be honored to help you!
