Megan Allen has been working with individuals, children, and families for over twenty years. She holds an Education Specialist degree (Ed.S.) in Counselor Education from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Ball State University. She is an award winning counselor and educator and an accomplished state and national presenter. She has worked in school, community, and international settings. She specializes in children (as young as 3 years old), adolescents, individuals, and groups. Her counseling practice is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy, two approaches that empower clients to recognize their strengths and develop practical strategies for success. These approaches assist with her particular expertise in the areas of anxiety, behavioral support, trauma-informed care, executive functioning, parenting strategies, life transitions, play therapy strategies, and mindfulness practices. Megan also enjoys drinking coffee outside, traveling internationally, and exploring new cultures.
