I was born and raised in the heart of Tennessee, which developed the love I have for this beautiful state and the people that live here. I have always been and continue to be very involved in the community, especially with my church. Growing up, I participated in many activities including soccer and competitive horseback riding. Even though I was blessed with a wonderful place to begin my life's journey, it did not shield me from challenges. I began to understand that life can be hard and how the impact of others can affect my choices. That created a passion within my heart to help others who are in difficult places. I wanted to be someone who could be there for others in the difficult times because I knew how much that meant for me. That began my next steps toward becoming a Marriage and Family Therapist. I pursued my bachelors degree in Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University graduating in 2015 and completed my undergraduate internship with Teague and Teague Associates. Then I pursued my masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Trevecca Nazarene University graduating in 2018. In 2019 I was hired at Pathways Counseling while working toward and receiving my full license for Marriage and Family Therapy in 2022. I have also received additional training in EMDR (a trauma based form of therapy for those who feel stuck in their trauma and feel enabled by it). In 2025 I made the decision to go out on my own in private practice. I continue to work on improving my skill sets and enhancing the experience of therapy for my clients. I work in the foundation of attachment science and modern research in Interpersonal Neurobiology, all while integrating through a Christian faith based lens. This integrative approach will help identify core issues, resolve conflicts due to trauma, and establish healthy connections with self, others and God. My desire is to create an environment of therapy that helps you rediscover that original design within you.
