Introduction

I am a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and a queer, intersectional, trauma-informed therapist. I specialize in working with generational and complex trauma, interpersonal relationship difficulties, family conflict, domestic violence and abuse, chronic illness, grief, neurodivergence, and the LGBTQIA+ community. My practice is built around compassion, self-understanding, warmth, and empowerment. Because of my background in social work, I understand that all of our experiences, our environment, and the systems in place in our world deeply impact us, and I provide care that prioritizes safety, choice, collaboration, and self-trust to support healing without re-traumatization. I deeply value the therapeutic relationship and draw from a range of modalities tailored to your unique needs, including DBT, relational and trauma-focused approaches, emotionally focused therapy, neuroscience-informed care, parts work, and somatic experiencing We all have a unique, beautiful self that can feel lost due to trauma, chronic stress, and systemic or societal pressures. In the process of surviving, we often learn to move away from parts of who we truly are in order to stay safe. Therapy can be a space to gently reconnect with that self, and to explore who you are beneath expectations, pain, and adaptation. Starting the therapeutic process together will look like establishing safety, learning to understand your needs, and creating a space that allows you to show up just as you are. Everything is welcome and we will learn how to care for it together. It’s an honor to get to walk alongside people as they reconnect with themselves. If this feels like it could be a good fit please feel free to reach out to megan@mindfultherapywellness.com. I am so looking forward to meeting!
