Introduction

Do you have a kid who thinks fast, feels big and reacts quickly? I have over 20 years of experience working with kids and their families. This helps to find ways to work together in creating practical strategies and options. My strength is in assisting the whole family in collaboritive strategies to understand each other better. This can reduce the stress and frictation, that is probably wearing all of you out. Another name for these kids is strong-willed. Sometimes this is part of dealing with ADHD, ASD, Anxiety, OCD or gifted challenges. Working with a kid who is a more Rigid Thinker can require a different set of strategies and parenting options than a child who is a more flexible thinker. Because of that, I believe that including the family (in some form) helps the individual, eases parenting challenges and can generate more comfort in your home. If your child is a Rigid Thinker who is needing new options for friendship challenges and not needing a therapist, classes for Linear Processors might fit your need. These are taught in a coaching format. The class focuses on a single challenge (September will be "I'm not Bossy. I'm Helping!" ) It will be taught through Linear Explanations to help your child decode a social glitch. The handouts and tools can be used by you or other professionals who are assisting your child. Finally, if what you are looking for is coaching for parenting strategies to help your Rigid Thinker, I have a range of options (presentations, small groups or individual meetings) to assist you. Some of these are in person and others are in a video format. I believe that a good fit matters for ease and flow in creating change. I require a free phone call (approximately 20 minutes) to discuss what you are looking for, what my abilities could be in working with you and considering other referrals (if I am aware of any) that might fit your situation better.
