Introduction

Welcome, and I am so glad you are here. Life can feel overwhelming at times, and there are seasons when having an outside perspective can make all the difference. One of the things I enjoy most about counseling is getting to know people and the stories they carry. I believe each person has a unique story worth understanding, and that growth often begins with curiosity about who we are, where we have been, and where we would like to go. As a counselor, I enjoy helping clients develop a deeper sense of curiosity about themselves. Together, we can explore patterns, experiences, and relationships that may be influencing your current challenges while uncovering strengths and possibilities that may have gone unnoticed. I believe self awareness creates opportunities for growth, healing, and meaningful change. My counseling style is compassionate, thoughtful, and collaborative. I strive to offer warmth, empathy, and understanding while also providing honest observations and gentle challenges when they may be helpful. Sometimes growth comes from feeling encouraged, and sometimes it comes from seeing ourselves in a new way. My goal is to help clients find both. My work is informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, attachment based perspectives, trauma informed care, and mindfulness practices. I also enjoy incorporating creative approaches such as literature, art, play, and other expressive interventions when they align with a client's interests and goals. Creativity can open doors to insight, healing, and self expression that words alone sometimes cannot reach. I was born in Colorado and spent much of my childhood moving from place to place as part of a military family. More than twenty years ago, I returned to Colorado and have proudly called it home ever since. Outside of counseling, I enjoy reading fiction and memoirs, staying physically active, spending time with loved ones, and connecting with others through creative spaces that involve art, mindfulness, and shared experiences. I believe that every person has the capacity to grow, learn, and discover new possibilities for themselves. It would be a privilege to get to know your story and support you as you continue writing it.
