Introduction

I have been in private practice since 2017. I love what I do and can’t imagine any work more fulfilling. In my free time, I enjoy books, Masterpiece Theatre, yoga, travel, nature and spending time with loved ones. I enjoy working with adults ages 21 and up. My counseling specialties include trauma resolution, adult adoptees, parenting challenges, loss and grief, and body image. My primary goal is to see people thrive in life, regardless of their past experiences. Much of my work involves helping clients forge healthy bonds in their relationships with themselves, others, and the world at large. I enjoy incorporating spirituality and social justice concerns into counseling when the client desires, and I provide a safe space for people of all races, ethnicities, religions, body size/type, and sexual identities. There is no one-size-fits-all in therapy, so I utilize an eclectic approach to counseling, depending on the needs of each client. My most commonly used modalities include Ego State Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR). Read more about these on my website: https://www.meganclarkcounseling.com/. I am in-network with most Aetna and Blue Cross/Blue Shield plans and provide filing for these claims. Out-of-network and private-pay clients may receive services at the rate of $150 per session. For out-of-network claims, you would pay for your session at the time of service, and I would provide you with a service receipt to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement according to your policy’s coverage.
