Hello and welcome! I'm Megan Netherton, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA). I approach my relationships with clients from a place of compassion, empathy, and warm-heartedness. I utilize curiosity, honesty, and reflection to assist clients to identify patterns and to make connections that will help them address current areas of pain and dysfunction. The ultimate purpose of my work is to support and equip clients to become more whole selves and to cultivate thriving lives and relationships. I work primarily with adults, and I am particularly passionate about supporting individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship issues (whether with family, friends, workplaces, or intimate partners), and grief and loss. In addition, I focus on providing support and treatment for individuals navigating Bipolar Disorder and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). I utilize a variety of approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). With OCD, I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). I am also trained in Gottman Level 1 and EFT modalities which help me to support individuals in improving relationship dynamics in their lives. In all my work, I consider the impacts of clients' contexts and the environments and systems in which they live and interact. I have previously been a licensed pastor, and I am able to integrate Christian faith perspectives into the therapy experience, if so desired. However, I deeply enjoy working with individuals from all backgrounds and honor everyone who walks through my door. Taking the first step towards your wellness has the power to change the trajectory of your life and create ripple effects that will continue long past your time in therapy. If you are looking for a space of support and care in which to stabilize, grow, and flourish, I invite you to connect with me.
