Introduction

Are you a young adult seeking independence but feeling overwhelmed by the responsibilities of adulthood? Unsure about your life direction or struggling with the impact of childhood trauma? Maybe you’re caught in unhealthy relationships that drain your emotional energy? I’m Megan, and I’m here to support you on your journey to adulthood and self-discovery. With brain development continuing until around age 26, it’s no surprise that making life-changing decisions at 18 can feel overwhelming! Together, we’ll navigate these pressures, explore your options, and envision a future shaped by your own choices. With 20 years of experience working with children and families, and a decade focused on young adults aging out of foster care, I specialize in healing trauma and fostering growth. I’m trained in Trauma-Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and the Fostering Success Coaching Model. I’m passionate about authentic youth engagement and empowering young people to have a voice in their futures. Let’s work together to overcome past wounds, break free from toxic patterns, and take confident steps toward the future you deserve. We focus on three goals: educate, empower, and equip. During our time together you’ll receive clear psychoeducation about how trauma affects thinking and behavior, guided work to identify your strengths and values, and practical strategies to challenge unhelpful thinking patterns. My aim is to help you reclaim your resilience and step into the life you choose. I’ll share tools and skills you can use immediately so you can move forward with confidence and create a life shaped by your values and goals.
