Introduction

I’m Megan, a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) licensed in Georgia, and a native of North Georgia who calls the Appalachians home. I earned my Master of Social Work from Campbellsville University School of Social Work in 2023 and began providing clinical therapy in August 2024. I understand the unique rhythms and stresses of life so I offer telehealth appointments to provide steady, accessible support no matter where you are. My clinical work is rooted in a trauma‑informed, strengths‑based social work perspective. I create a calm, steady space where you can be heard and where we can work together to reduce symptoms, build practical coping skills, repair relationships, and clarify what matters most to you. I prioritize cultural sensitivity and respect for each person’s story and pace; treatment is always collaborative and tailored to your goals. I have experience supporting people through anxiety disorders, depression, trauma and PTSD, survivors of abuse, obsessive‑compulsive disorder (OCD), personality disorders, bipolar disorders, dementia, domestic violence, and a range of other mental health challenges. I work with individuals and families across the lifespan, including children (6–12), teenagers (12–18), young adults (18–24), adults (24+), and older adults (65+). I offer both individual and family appointments and provide case coordination and resource linkage when clients need additional supports. My treatment approach blends evidence‑based therapies with practical skills coaching and relational support. Common treatment options I offer include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address unhelpful thinking and behavior patterns; Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills for emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness; trauma‑focused interventions for stabilization and gradual processing of traumatic experiences; Parent‑Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) to strengthen attachment and manage behavioral concerns in children; behavioral therapy and skills coaching for routines, sleep, and daily functioning; and supportive psychotherapy and case management for complex needs such as dementia care and safety planning. I adapt interventions to be culturally responsive and to fit each client’s values and life context. I continue to pursue professional development in trauma‑focused therapies, culturally responsive practice, and family‑centered interventions to ensure my work remains current and effective. I strive to make therapy accessible and practical for busy lives and families through flexible telehealth scheduling. If you’re looking for steady, compassionate care that honors your story and helps you move from surviving to living with intention, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
