If you grew up in a home where your emotional needs were ignored, your boundaries were violated, or you were expected to take care of everyone else, you may still be carrying the effects of those experiences today. You might struggle with relationships, chronic self-doubt, shame, emotional overwhelm, people-pleasing, dissociation, or the feeling that something is wrong with you even when you cannot explain why. I specialize in working with adults with PTSD, complex trauma, developmental trauma, and the lasting impact of childhood abuse, neglect, emotionally immature parents, and other chronic relational trauma. Many of my clients understand intellectually that their childhood affected them but still find themselves repeating the same patterns, reacting in ways they do not understand, or feeling disconnected from themselves. My approach goes beyond simply talking about what happened. I integrate EMDR, parts-informed and IFS-informed approaches, and trauma-focused therapy to help you understand how your past continues to show up in your nervous system, relationships, sense of self, and daily life. We work at a pace that feels manageable, with attention to stabilization and safety rather than pushing you to relive experiences before you are ready.
