Introduction

My practice is focused on supporting individuals and families as they navigate life transitions, manage stressors of daily living, and explore the roots of personal identity. I work with clients to build communication skills that improve relationships and promote healing. I integrate into my work tools and resources derived from Family Systems Therapy, Narrative Therapy, trauma-informed approaches, and cognitive behavioral therapy. I think of my practice as walking alongside my client to develop self-awareness and better tools for living. In addition to being a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor in Maryland, I’m also an experienced educator and a parent of two children. I began my clinical career providing intensive therapeutic services to families in crisis, developing treatment plans to strengthen coping skills. I spent more than a decade collaborating with parents, students, school staff, and community agencies as a counselor for Montgomery County Public Schools. I’ve worked in a variety of educational settings, kindergarten through grade 12, including public, private, and residential programs for children with special needs.
