Introduction

Dr. Meghan McCoy-Hess is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience. She specializes in trauma-informed, evidence-based, recovery-oriented psychotherapy for adults, using psychological assessments to individualize and optimize treatment. Meghan created Midwest Mindful Health (MMH) to help clients, like you, find relief from suffering by using practical ways to better manage life’s stressors effectively. Beyond talk-therapy, she integrates psychological testing with evidence-based treatments and mindfulness techniques to help you build resilience and maintain composure under pressure. The goal is to help you feel better in 3-5 sessions and teach you how to regain your own health and happiness. Our minds and bodies are connected, and the impact of stress and trauma can leave us feeling depleted, exhausted, and unable to function like we would like to. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed by politics, social media, school-based violence, work stress, infidelity, divorce, parenting, or caregiving, or if you are experiencing tension from chronic pain, insomnia, nightmares, sexual problems, or hormonal changes such as perimenopause, MMH can help you recover from emotional pain by teaching therapeutic tools that reduce suffering and improve your physical and mental well-being. Move beyond surviving and start thriving. Together, MMH can help you deepen resiliency, improve your ability to gracefully adapt to change, skillfully express your emotions, flourish within your relationships, achieve your goals, and live a satisfying life according to your values.
