Hi, I’m Melanie Pilot. I worked for Children’s Protective Services for 21 years, helping foster kids and their families. Before that, I taught elementary school. I completed my undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley and my master’s at George Fox University. I have experience working with couples, families, individuals, and kids. I help people navigate betrayal, trauma, anxiety, depression, and a whole lot more. In my free time, I love gardening and spending time with my friends and family. I’m often found planning a fun party. I have experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I tend to draw from Positive Psychology and mindfulness practices. I believe in using therapy to empower individuals to find mental and emotional well-being and an increased quality of life. I am a lifelong learner who loves to research the newest trends in mental and emotional well-being and utilize techniques to help strengthen families, couples, and individuals.
