Hi, I'm Melinda! I believe therapy should be a place where you feel seen, understood, and supported as you navigate life's challenges and reconnect with your authentic self. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, navigating a major life transition, struggling with anxiety, relationship challenges, self-worth, or the demands of parenthood, you don't have to carry it all alone. My approach is warm, relational, and grounded in genuine human connection. I draw primarily from psychodynamic and attachment-based approaches, helping clients explore how past experiences, relationships, and emotional patterns continue to shape their present-day lives. I also integrate CBT and DBT skills to support emotional regulation, self-awareness, and practical coping strategies. My background in social work influences the way I view clients through a systemic lens, recognizing how family dynamics, culture, and larger systems impact emotional wellbeing and personal growth. I am especially passionate about supporting parents, women navigating life transitions, and individuals exploring identity, empowerment, self-worth, trauma, anxiety, and relationship challenges. I believe healing happens not only through processing difficult experiences, but also through feeling connected, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change. Clients often describe me as warm, approachable, and someone who brings a sense of lightness into the room. While therapy can hold space for life's most difficult moments, I also value humor, authenticity, and genuine connection. I earned my Master's degree in Social Work from Florida State University and am currently practicing as an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW). Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, traveling, movement and wellness, belly laughs, and finding joy in everyday moments. I look forward to supporting you on your journey toward healing and growth.
