Dr. Melisa Flores-Ruiz takes a neuropsychological approach considering the mind and body relationship. She has experience with a variety of psychiatric and neurological conditions, with diverse populations. Has work extensively with children and older adults. She is Spanish-English bilingual. Some of her core skills are: • Neuropsychological and psychological assessments, in children, adolescents, young adults, older adults, and the elderly. • Neurological conditions such as developmental delays (e.g., ADHD, ASD), epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, dementia (e.g., Alzheimer’s disease). • Specializes in women’s issues such as perimenopause/menopause. Dr. Flores obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in General Psychology, at the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus. She completed her Doctoral Degree in the Ponce School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Puerto Rico, in Clinical Psychology. Her training during Internship and Post-Doctoral Residency was in Clinical Neuropsychology. Also, she has worked as an Adjunct Professor at the graduate level and has serve as supervisor for students at the master’s level, in their practicums.
