My counseling style is non-judgmental and person centered and I take an eclectic approach that incorporates an individual’s strengths and goals. As a trauma informed counselor, I help my clients to consider how past trauma and life events may be impacting their behaviors and present level of functioning. My preferred client is over 12 years old. I have experience working with individuals in various stages of life including those who struggle with grief, addictions, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues, including domestic abuse in any form. I earned my BS in Psychology from Regent University in Virginia and my Masters in Counseling from Messiah University. In addition, I am an ordained chaplain and hold an associate’s degree in biblical and church studies from Tidewater Bible College in Virginia Beach. If my client is open, I can support them in making biblical applications to life’s important issues while implementing clinical interventions as well. Before completing my Masters Degree, I was an entrepreneur in the fitness world and understand how beneficial movement and other somatic interventions can be. I am passionate about music and I write lyrics and do some public speaking. Outdoors is my favorite place to be and my world currently centers around my Bernedoodle. I find satisfaction working with my hands, gardening, and refinishing furniture and other DIY projects.
