Introduction

I’m Melissa Farrell, founder and clinical director of Leading Light Counseling & Consulting in Point Pleasant, NJ. I work best with insightful people who are ready to go deeper. You might be ready to understand your patterns, challenge yourself, and grow, not just get through the week. Many of my clients are high achievers and over-functioners: the capable ones others lean on, quietly running on anxiety, perfectionism, or exhaustion. Some are discovering other parts of themselves such as a "late in life" ADHD diagnosis. My approach is insight-driven, person-centered, and trauma-informed, blending CBT, solution-focused, and somatic work with creative tools when they help. I offer clear, neuroscience-informed explanations of what’s happening in your brain and body. Therapy with me is collaborative and honest. I’ll support you, and I’ll also gently challenge you. You’re the expert on your own life. My role is to help you find what actually works for you. I keep a limited caseload of my own clients. When you reach out, I’ll personally help match you with the right fit, whether that’s me or another clinician on our team. Sessions are available in person near the Jersey Shore or online throughout New Jersey. To get started, visit www.leadinglightcounselingnj.com or email leadinglightcounseling@gmail.com.
