Introduction

Welcome — I'm so glad you're here. If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or burdened by the weight of past experiences or relationship challenges, you're not alone. Whether you're navigating the stress of parenting, facing family conflict, struggling in your relationship, or processing your own trauma or grief — I’m here to help. I work with individuals, children, couples, and families to heal from trauma, move through grief and loss, and build stronger, more connected relationships. Together, we’ll create a safe, compassionate space where each person feels seen, supported, and empowered to grow. I’m Melissa, a Licensed Professional Counselor with advanced training in trauma-informed approaches, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Conjoint EMDR for couples, and Attachment-Focused Trauma Therapy for Adults (AFTT-A). I also incorporate play therapy, sandplay, the Gottman Method (Levels 1–3), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to support healing at every stage of life and across all relationship systems. I hold a master’s degree in counseling from Denver Seminary and bring both clinical expertise and deep compassion to my work. My approach is warm, relational, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens when we feel safe and supported. Life can be messy and painful — but it doesn’t have to stay that way. In our work together, we’ll honor your story, tap into your strengths, and take intentional steps toward healing, connection, and hope. You don’t have to face this alone. When you’re ready, I’m here to walk alongside you.
